# DroneMobile vs GenGold

The clearest difference is ratings volume: DroneMobile at 28K against GenGold's 29. DroneMobile also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6). GenGold's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 38%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DroneMobile holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DroneMobile has 28K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of DroneMobile's written reviews are positive against 50% of GenGold's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
