# Week Calendar vs WidgetCal

The clearest difference is rating: Week Calendar at 4.4 against WidgetCal's 3.6. Week Calendar also leads on review sentiment (59% vs 47%) and ratings volume (10K vs 1.5K). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Week Calendar sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and WidgetCal sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Week Calendar holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Week Calendar has 10K ratings behind it against 1.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of Week Calendar's written reviews are positive against 47% of WidgetCal's.

Week Calendar ships an update fortnightly, WidgetCal every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
