# Mind Mapping vs Mind Map

The clearest difference is rating: Mind Map at 4.9 against Mind Mapping's 4.4. Mind Map also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). Mind Mapping's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mind Mapping sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.49 per month and Mind Map sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mind Map holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mind Mapping has 1.3K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Mind Mapping's written reviews are positive against 70% of Mind Map's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mind Mapping ships an update every 4 weeks, Mind Map weekly. Both last shipped on November 7, 2026.
