# Logcaliper vs Stop & Note

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Logcaliper at 100% against Stop & Note's 50%. Logcaliper also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Stop & Note's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Stop & Note holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Logcaliper has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Logcaliper's written reviews are positive against 50% of Stop & Note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Logcaliper ships an update every 6 months, Stop & Note every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
