# Explorer vs NEAM

The clearest difference is rating: NEAM at 5.0 against Explorer's 3.9. NEAM also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and device support (3 vs 1). Explorer's advantage is ratings volume (108 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NEAM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Explorer has 108 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Explorer ships an update every 2 months, NEAM every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
