# IB3 vs SER Catalunya

The clearest difference is rating: SER Catalunya at 5.0 against IB3's 1.0. IB3's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SER Catalunya holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of IB3's written reviews are positive against 33% of SER Catalunya's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IB3 ships an update every 2 months, SER Catalunya every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
