# 百度 vs 读书笔记

The clearest difference is rating: 百度 at 4.5 against 读书笔记's 4.0. 百度 also leads on ratings volume (31K vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). 读书笔记's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 43%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 百度 sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and 读书笔记 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

百度 holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 百度 has 31K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of 百度's written reviews are positive against 67% of 读书笔记's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

百度 ships an update weekly, 读书笔记 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
