# Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker vs Aboard

The clearest difference is rating: Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker at 4.8 against Aboard's 4.2. Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (676K vs 12). Aboard's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Aboard sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker has 676K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker's written reviews are positive against 71% of Aboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker ships an update every 2 weeks, Aboard every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
