# OCFL Alert vs Mobile Citizen

The clearest difference is review sentiment: OCFL Alert at 55% against Mobile Citizen's 8%. OCFL Alert also leads on ratings volume (17 vs 1). Mobile Citizen's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 2.4) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mobile Citizen holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OCFL Alert has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of OCFL Alert's written reviews are positive against 8% of Mobile Citizen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OCFL Alert ships an update every 6 months, Mobile Citizen every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
