# Max Security vs Oobada

The clearest difference is update cadence: Oobada at every 9 months against Max Security's every 22 months. Max Security's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Max Security sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Oobada sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Max Security ships an update every 22 months, Oobada every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
