# Calculator 3.0 vs DayCalc

The clearest difference is ads: Calculator 3.0 at none against DayCalc's shown. Calculator 3.0 also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (3.7K vs 128). DayCalc's advantage is review sentiment (87% vs 67%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator 3.0 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and DayCalc sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Calculator 3.0 against 4.7 for DayCalc. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator 3.0 has 3.7K ratings behind it against 128, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Calculator 3.0's written reviews are positive against 87% of DayCalc's.

Calculator 3.0 ships an update fortnightly, DayCalc every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
