# Files HD vs Foldered

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Foldered at 100% against Files HD's 66%. Foldered also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 months) and device support (3 vs 1). Files HD's advantage is ratings volume (417 vs 7) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Files HD sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Foldered sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Files HD holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Files HD has 417 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Files HD's written reviews are positive against 100% of Foldered's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Files HD ships an update every 3 months, Foldered every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
