# Report vs Otter Transcribe Voice Notes

The clearest difference is rating: Otter Transcribe Voice Notes at 4.8 against Report's 4.0. Otter Transcribe Voice Notes also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (88K vs 9). Report's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Otter Transcribe Voice Notes sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $16.99 per month. Report asks for nothing beyond the download.

Otter Transcribe Voice Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Otter Transcribe Voice Notes has 88K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Report's written reviews are positive against 56% of Otter Transcribe Voice Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
