# Flashlight ○ vs Send SOS

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flashlight ○ at 91% against Send SOS's 50%. Flashlight ○ also leads on ratings volume (29K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). Send SOS's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Send SOS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashlight ○ has 29K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Flashlight ○'s written reviews are positive against 50% of Send SOS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flashlight ○ ships an update every 2 months, Send SOS every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
