# JumpForward vs NEC On The Run

The clearest difference is rating: NEC On The Run at 4.5 against JumpForward's 2.0. NEC On The Run also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 30) and iOS requirement (9.1 vs 13.0). JumpForward's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 33 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NEC On The Run holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NEC On The Run has 1.2K ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of JumpForward's written reviews are positive against 17% of NEC On The Run's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

JumpForward ships an update monthly, NEC On The Run every 33 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
