# Chegg Study vs OSU Research

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OSU Research at none against Chegg Study's 5. OSU Research also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 17.0). Chegg Study's advantage is ratings volume (205K vs 2) and chart position (#62 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chegg Study sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $15.99 per month. OSU Research asks for nothing beyond the download.

OSU Research holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chegg Study has 205K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
