# Chegg Study vs Kadama

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Kadama at 66% against Chegg Study's 20%. Kadama also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). Chegg Study's advantage is ratings volume (205K vs 3.7K) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chegg Study sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $15.99 per month. Kadama asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chegg Study holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chegg Study has 205K ratings behind it against 3.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Chegg Study's written reviews are positive against 66% of Kadama's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chegg Study ships an update every 3 weeks, Kadama every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
