# Chegg Study vs Cha Cha Island

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cha Cha Island at 100% against Chegg Study's 20%. Cha Cha Island also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). Chegg Study's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 2.0) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chegg Study sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $15.99 per month. Cha Cha Island asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chegg Study holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chegg Study has 205K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Chegg Study's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cha Cha Island's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chegg Study ships an update every 3 weeks, Cha Cha Island every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
