# Chegg Study vs Studdy

Chegg Study and Studdy both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 89% of Studdy's written reviews are positive against 20% of Chegg Study's. Studdy also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Chegg Study's advantage is ratings volume (205K vs 13K) and chart position (#65 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chegg Study sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $15.99 per month and Studdy sells 35 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Chegg Study against 4.8 for Studdy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chegg Study has 205K ratings behind it against 13K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 20% of Chegg Study's written reviews are positive against 89% of Studdy's.

Chegg Study ships an update every 3 weeks, Studdy every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
