# Controller vs BackUnbroken

Controller and BackUnbroken both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of BackUnbroken's written reviews are positive against 36% of Controller's. Controller's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 10) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BackUnbroken holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Controller has 10K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 36% of Controller's written reviews are positive against 100% of BackUnbroken's.

Controller ships an update every 2 months, BackUnbroken every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
