# Remote Mouse vs Off

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Remote Mouse at 19K against Off's 498. Remote Mouse also leads on review sentiment (68% vs 52%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remote Mouse sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Off sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Remote Mouse against 4.5 for Off. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Remote Mouse has 19K ratings behind it against 498, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 68% of Remote Mouse's written reviews are positive against 52% of Off's.

Remote Mouse ships an update monthly, Off every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
