# OPlayer Lite vs Video +

The clearest difference is monetization model: Video + at free against OPlayer Lite's free with in-app purchases. Video + also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). OPlayer Lite's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OPlayer Lite sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Video + sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for OPlayer Lite against 4.4 for Video +. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4.4K and 12K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of OPlayer Lite's written reviews are positive against 79% of Video +'s.

OPlayer Lite ships an update every 3 months, Video + fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
