# ContactsPro X vs Contact Groups

The clearest difference is ads: ContactsPro X at none against Contact Groups's shown. Contact Groups's advantage is ratings volume (4.2K vs 12) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ContactsPro X sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Contact Groups sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Contact Groups holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Contact Groups has 4.2K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of ContactsPro X's written reviews are positive against 49% of Contact Groups's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ContactsPro X ships an update every 6 weeks, Contact Groups every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
