# FloodWatch vs FloodNotice

FloodWatch and FloodNotice both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of FloodNotice's written reviews are positive against 58% of FloodWatch's. FloodNotice also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). FloodWatch's advantage is ratings volume (329 vs 11) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FloodWatch sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. FloodNotice asks for nothing beyond the download.

FloodNotice holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FloodWatch has 329 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of FloodWatch's written reviews are positive against 100% of FloodNotice's.

FloodWatch ships an update every 2 months, FloodNotice every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
