# Mechanix vs ÉTSMobile

The clearest difference is price: ÉTSMobile at Free against Mechanix's $2.99. ÉTSMobile also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). Mechanix's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

ÉTSMobile is free to download; Mechanix costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mechanix holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ÉTSMobile has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Mechanix's written reviews are positive against 58% of ÉTSMobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mechanix ships an update every 9 months, ÉTSMobile every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
