# Express vs Lulus

The clearest difference is rating: Lulus at 4.9 against Express's 4.5. Lulus also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Express's advantage is review sentiment (72% vs 47%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lulus holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23K and 58K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Express's written reviews are positive against 47% of Lulus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Express ships an update every 9 days, Lulus every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 3, 2026.
