# Express vs CartHop

The clearest difference is rating: CartHop at 5.0 against Express's 4.5. CartHop also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 11 days). Express's advantage is ratings volume (23K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CartHop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Express has 23K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Express ships an update every 11 days, CartHop every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
