# SoundPrism vs SynthMaster Player

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SoundPrism at 85% against SynthMaster Player's 52%. SoundPrism also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 11.0). SynthMaster Player's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SoundPrism sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and SynthMaster Player sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SynthMaster Player holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 74 and 55 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of SoundPrism's written reviews are positive against 52% of SynthMaster Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
