# Bible vs Bible Chat

The clearest difference is rating: Bible at 4.4 against Bible Chat's 3.7. Bible also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (304 vs 48). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bible sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Bible Chat sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bible holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible has 304 ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 39% of Bible's written reviews are positive against 31% of Bible Chat's.

Bible ships an update weekly, Bible Chat every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
