# MBC 뉴스 vs 한겨레

The clearest difference is rating: 한겨레 at 3.2 against MBC 뉴스's 2.2. 한겨레 also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). MBC 뉴스's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

한겨레 holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of MBC 뉴스's written reviews are positive against 41% of 한겨레's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MBC 뉴스 ships an update every 2 months, 한겨레 every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
