# MBC 뉴스 vs JTBC 뉴스

The clearest difference is rating: JTBC 뉴스 at 3.8 against MBC 뉴스's 2.2. MBC 뉴스's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

JTBC 뉴스 holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of MBC 뉴스's written reviews are positive against 40% of JTBC 뉴스's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MBC 뉴스 ships an update every 2 months, JTBC 뉴스 every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
