# 東網 vs Yahoo新聞

The clearest difference is rating: Yahoo新聞 at 4.2 against 東網's 2.4. Yahoo新聞 also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (60 vs 12). 東網's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 東網 sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Yahoo新聞 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Yahoo新聞 holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yahoo新聞 has 60 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of 東網's written reviews are positive against 18% of Yahoo新聞's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

東網 ships an update monthly, Yahoo新聞 every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
