# Virtual Regatta vs Ski Challenge

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Virtual Regatta at 752 against Ski Challenge's 107. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Virtual Regatta sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $27.49 per 3 months and Ski Challenge sells 49 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Virtual Regatta against 4.3 for Ski Challenge. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Virtual Regatta has 752 ratings behind it against 107, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of Virtual Regatta's written reviews are positive against 52% of Ski Challenge's.

Virtual Regatta ships an update fortnightly, Ski Challenge every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
