# Virtual Regatta vs SSL Gold Cup

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SSL Gold Cup at none against Virtual Regatta's 10. SSL Gold Cup also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Virtual Regatta's advantage is ratings volume (756 vs 2) and rating (4.2 vs 4.0). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Virtual Regatta sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $27.49 per 3 months. SSL Gold Cup asks for nothing beyond the download.

Virtual Regatta holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Virtual Regatta has 756 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Virtual Regatta's written reviews are positive against 50% of SSL Gold Cup's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
