# Preparis vs AlertMedia

The clearest difference is rating: Preparis at 4.9 against AlertMedia's 4.5. AlertMedia's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (135 vs 11). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Preparis holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AlertMedia has 135 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Preparis ships an update every 2 months, AlertMedia fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
