# Fly Delta vs NYC Ferry

The clearest difference is ads: NYC Ferry at none against Fly Delta's shown. NYC Ferry also leads on review sentiment (59% vs 40%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Fly Delta's advantage is ratings volume (7M vs 55K) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Fly Delta against 4.9 for NYC Ferry. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fly Delta has 7M ratings behind it against 55K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 40% of Fly Delta's written reviews are positive against 59% of NYC Ferry's.

Fly Delta ships an update fortnightly, NYC Ferry every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
