# CamScanner vs Spreadsheet

The clearest difference is ratings volume: CamScanner at 2M against Spreadsheet's 6.1K. CamScanner also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Spreadsheet's advantage is review sentiment (72% vs 60%) and device support (5 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CamScanner sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Spreadsheet sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CamScanner holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CamScanner has 2M ratings behind it against 6.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of CamScanner's written reviews are positive against 72% of Spreadsheet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CamScanner ships an update weekly, Spreadsheet monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
