# CamScanner vs DocHub

The clearest difference is ratings volume: CamScanner at 2M against DocHub's 448. CamScanner also leads on chart position (#9 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CamScanner sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and DocHub sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $16.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for CamScanner against 4.8 for DocHub. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CamScanner has 2M ratings behind it against 448, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 60% of CamScanner's written reviews are positive against 52% of DocHub's.

CamScanner ships an update weekly, DocHub every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
