# MVV vs Munich Departures

The clearest difference is rating: MVV at 4.7 against Munich Departures's 3.7. MVV also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (867 vs 3). Munich Departures's advantage is review sentiment (52% vs 29%). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Munich Departures sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MVV asks for nothing beyond the download.

MVV holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MVV has 867 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of MVV's written reviews are positive against 52% of Munich Departures's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MVV ships an update every 6 weeks, Munich Departures every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
