# MVV vs ÖBB Tickets

The clearest difference is rating: MVV at 4.7 against ÖBB Tickets's 1.9. MVV also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (899 vs 159). ÖBB Tickets's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MVV holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MVV has 899 ratings behind it against 159, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of MVV's written reviews are positive against 21% of ÖBB Tickets's.

MVV ships an update every 6 weeks, ÖBB Tickets fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
