# MVV vs Octoberfest Guide

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MVV at none against Octoberfest Guide's 4. MVV also leads on ratings volume (895 vs 8). Octoberfest Guide's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 29%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Octoberfest Guide sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. MVV asks for nothing beyond the download.

MVV holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MVV has 895 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of MVV's written reviews are positive against 60% of Octoberfest Guide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MVV ships an update every 6 weeks, Octoberfest Guide every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
