# Hat Booth vs The Emmys

The clearest difference is price: The Emmys at Free against Hat Booth's $1.99. The Emmys also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 38%). Hat Booth's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 28). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

The Emmys is free to download; Hat Booth costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hat Booth holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hat Booth has 1.1K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Hat Booth's written reviews are positive against 64% of The Emmys's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hat Booth ships an update every 4 months, The Emmys every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
