# Instagram vs FeatherPic

The clearest difference is ads: FeatherPic at none against Instagram's shown. FeatherPic also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Instagram's advantage is ratings volume (30M vs 1) and chart position (#2 vs unranked). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Instagram sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and FeatherPic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FeatherPic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Instagram has 30M ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
