# Blue Defense vs Space Station

The clearest difference is rating: Blue Defense at 4.3 against Space Station's 3.7. Blue Defense also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (82% vs 50%). Space Station's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blue Defense sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Space Station sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blue Defense holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blue Defense has 20 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of Blue Defense's written reviews are positive against 50% of Space Station's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
