# Pingcast vs Mileage

The clearest difference is price: Mileage at Free against Pingcast's $0.99. Mileage also leads on rating (3.2 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (15 vs 2). Pingcast's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (3.0 vs 18.0). On update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Mileage is free to download; Pingcast costs $0.99 up front. Mileage sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Pingcast asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mileage holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mileage has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pingcast ships an update every 3 months, Mileage every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on June 5, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
