# Torchlight ◎ Brightest LED vs FlashLight

The clearest difference is rating: Torchlight ◎ Brightest LED at 4.6 against FlashLight's 4.3. Torchlight ◎ Brightest LED also leads on ratings volume (4.1K vs 358). FlashLight's advantage is review sentiment (82% vs 62%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Torchlight ◎ Brightest LED sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per year and FlashLight sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Torchlight ◎ Brightest LED holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Torchlight ◎ Brightest LED has 4.1K ratings behind it against 358, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Torchlight ◎ Brightest LED's written reviews are positive against 82% of FlashLight's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Torchlight ◎ Brightest LED ships an update every 3 months, FlashLight monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
