# BirthdaysPro vs Contact Groups

BirthdaysPro and Contact Groups both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 76% of BirthdaysPro's written reviews are positive against 49% of Contact Groups's. BirthdaysPro also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Contact Groups's advantage is ratings volume (4.2K vs 1.1K) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BirthdaysPro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 6 months and Contact Groups sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BirthdaysPro holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.1K and 4.2K respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 76% of BirthdaysPro's written reviews are positive against 49% of Contact Groups's.

BirthdaysPro ships an update fortnightly, Contact Groups every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
