# O Globo vs Exame

The clearest difference is rating: Exame at 4.9 against O Globo's 3.2. Exame also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (36% vs 14%). O Globo's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. O Globo sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Exame sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Exame holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 89 and 144 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 14% of O Globo's written reviews are positive against 36% of Exame's.

O Globo ships an update every 2 weeks, Exame every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
