# O Globo vs O Tempo

The clearest difference is rating: O Tempo at 4.0 against O Globo's 3.2. O Tempo also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). O Globo's advantage is ratings volume (89 vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. O Globo sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and O Tempo sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

O Tempo holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: O Globo has 89 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 14% of O Globo's written reviews are positive against 36% of O Tempo's.

O Globo ships an update every 2 weeks, O Tempo every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
