# Member Tools vs Simple

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Member Tools at none against Simple's 1. Member Tools also leads on ratings volume (108K vs 1). Simple's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per year. Member Tools asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Member Tools against 5.0 for Simple. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Member Tools has 108K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Member Tools ships an update monthly, Simple every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
